Yep! Our very first home was a Bus!

The school bus had just finished it’s final ever run of the school year and we bought it. We spent an entire summer taking out all the seats and making it in to our home, complete with a sink and gingham curtains and good sound system for our extensive cassette tape collection. Then we got married and to make sure we didn’t get China plates, we registered @ Daytons for “armatele” metal dishes so they wouldn’t break on our journey. We headed south to Florida and when we ran out of money, we worked on boats and even lived on a 35 foot FinnClipper and a 48 foot Trawler. We love buses and road trips. Our son Sam followed in our footsteps and tricked out a school bus and went to Grateful Dead concerts, selling veggie cheese melts in the parking lots. Sam still has his bus parked in the Montana mountains on a sheep farm. We sold our bus to pay for him. Let’s all get buses and west someday.

P.S. The bus in the photo is actually a lucky someone else’s in Joshua Tree, California.
